Jeannie Pappas is a Toronto-based ceramic artist whose whimsical creations transformclay into tangible realms of imagination. A first-generation Canadian raised in thehistoric, arts-rich enclave of Cabbagetown, she weaves urban vitality with fantastical storytelling through her work.A graduate of the Ontario College of Art (now OCAD University), Pappas has garnered recognition throughout her career, including a 2024 Ontario Arts Council Project Grant, the Ceramic Studio Award, and the Dora Wechsler Memorial Award. Her 2025 solo exhibition, *Springtime Reverie: A Fantastical Journey Through the Season*, will transform Craft Ontario’s window feature into an immersive ceramic installation, inviting viewers into her enchanting sculptural world. Pappas is represented by **Wallspace Gallery** in Ottawa and **Imperfecta Gallery** in Oregon, USA, with her work collected internationally for its poetic balance of fragility and strength. Deeply engaged in Toronto’s craft community, she teaches and collaborates while expanding her practice into larger figurative forms and ceramic dioramas. With each piece, she continues to push the boundaries of contemporary ceramics, exploring texture, narrative, and the limitless possibilities of clay.
